History

The $10 million track opened in Post Falls in August 1988, with a clubhouse seating 2,500. Attendance fell by half after 1992, and the owners said they had lost more than $21 million when they announced on October 31, 1995, that live racing would end.

Live greyhound racing ended on December 17, 1995. Les Bois Park of Boise leased the facility from 1996 to keep simulcast wagering going, and the building now operates as the Greyhound Park Event Center.
