Corrections Policy
How we handle mistakes and suggested changes.
Anyone can suggest a correction from any venue page or the contribute page. Nothing a visitor submits changes the site automatically.
How a correction is reviewed
- An editor reads every submission and checks it against the cited source or other reliable sources.
- If the correction is supported, the record is updated and the change is saved in the record's revision history.
- If sources conflict, the venue page notes the disagreement instead of picking one silently.
- If we can't verify a claim, we may ask the contributor for more information or leave the record unchanged.
Significant corrections
When a correction changes a key fact such as an opening or closing date, the venue page's “last updated” date changes as well.
