History
The stadium opened on October 14, 1922 with a 10-7 loss to Washington State; lights were added in 1931. Gonzaga played its last season in 1941 and did not revive football after World War II, though Spokane high schools used the stadium until the city deemed it unsafe after 1947.
The seating was demolished in 1949. The Foley Center Library, built in 1992, and its lawn now cover the former field.
Why it matters: Home of Gonzaga football in its prewar era.
