History
Greyhound racing began at Raynham in 1940. At its peak the park employed nearly 1,200 people, and Wikipedia credits it with the world record for largest annual handle. Massachusetts voters banned dog racing in November 2008, effective January 1, 2010.
Raynham ran its last live card on December 26, 2009. The Carney family kept the building open as a simulcast parlor and in 2022 announced plans to add a large retail sportsbook.
